🍲 6. La Noodle – Hand-pulled Noodles & Biang Biang Beef in Düsseldorf

💶 Price: €10-€20 p.p.

At La Noodle Düsseldorf, watching is almost as important as eating itself. It's fascinating to observe how, behind the counter, perfect, fresh noodles are created in seconds through rhythmic tapping and pulling. If you want to see true craftsmanship, this is the place to be. The legendary Biang Biang noodles, in particular, are an absolute highlight on the menu.

Specials:

  • Fresh hand-pulled noodles and large portions at a fair price
  • Relaxed atmosphere without long waiting times - ideal for a quick bite
  • Very centrally located – easily accessible after a long shopping trip on Shadowstraße

Why should you definitely visit this place? Due to their width and irregular surface, the noodles absorb the spicy sauces better than almost any other type of noodle. The accompanying beef (chicken or eggplant optional) is incredibly tender, and the sauce impresses with its immense depth of flavor. It's honest, handmade food without unnecessary frills that transports you directly to China.

Pro tip: Also discover the other dishes on the menu: While Biang Biang is the signature dish, you must also try the Chinese burger!

  • You can individually select the type of noodles

Why should this spot be on your list? It's unpretentious, absolutely authentic, and unbeatable in terms of price. Here, it's not about the show, but about what ends up in the bowl.

Pro tip: Try the classic beef noodle soup with extra thick noodles. If you like it spicy, help yourself to the homemade chili oil on the table. But be careful, that stuff has a real kick and perfectly complements the rich beef broth.

🍲  8. Bai Wei Fang – Chinese Burgers & More

Have you ever tried a "Chinese burger"? If not, it's high time you did at Bai Wei Fang. Here you'll find the Chinese street food classic Rougamo, Chinese breakfast, Baozi, and much more. In the Bai Wei Fang menu, you can discover a variety of dishes you've probably never heard of before!

Specials:

  • Open from 8:00 AM – Your chance to have an authentic Chinese breakfast!
  • Relaxed atmosphere without long waiting times - ideal for a quick bite
  • Very centrally located – easily accessible after a long shopping trip on Shadowstraße

Our favorite is the Chinese burger "Rougamo" – an oven-baked flatbread that has a very special texture due to its preparation. The outside is wonderfully crispy with fine layers, and the inside is wonderfully soft.
This bread is freshly sliced and filled with juicy, hours-braised and finely shredded meat, bursting with spices and aroma.

Pro tip: Be sure to order the homemade hot and sour soup or the cold glass noodles (Liangpi) with your Rougamo. The combination of the warm, hearty meat bun and the acidity of the noodles is the classic street food combination from Xi'an and really brings out the flavor.
